Air-Flight Operations
- Rear mount ruck-sack marker - tie or tape visible mini chem-light lightsticks to top of ruck-sack for formation visibility.
- Bundle drop marker - attach 15" IMPACT lightstick in infrared (or visible depending on light allowance) on each side of bundle, when it hits the ground, chem-lights will automatically activate from impact
- Survival Kit - store mini, 4" or 6" chem-light lightstick in seat survival kits for emergency use
- Altimeter light - tape mini chem-light lightstick to wrist altimeter for visibility during jump
- Landing zone markers - use 15" impact lightstick in infrared to outline area or on hard/flat surfaces outline area with infrared circles with adhesive backing
- Cockpit light - tape mini lightstick to fingertip for gauge reading
- Drop zone markers - place infrared circles or 6" chem-lights lightstick in desired location
- Free fall markers - tape mini chem-light lightstick to legs and on helmet for jump safety
- Down pilot training - for rescue light use SOS light and swing overhead
Land Operations
- Route markers - 4" lightstick attached to tree or other object
- Landing Zone ID - 10" orange chem-light lightstick with tripod stuck into ground or 15" impact infrared laid as directional arrows
- Obstacle markers - infrared circles w/adhesive affix onto obstacle
- Hazard markers - red lightstick in 6" or 15" length
- Vehicle I.D. - code using various colors
- Triage markers (use flexbands on wrists or attach to stretcher of injured personnel - color coding severity of injury. Mini lightstick attached with rubber band around leg of injured).
- Vehicle and aircraft repair - 15" lightsticks
- Mark cleared areas or vehicle lanes - with 4" chem-light lightsticks hung on 550 cord (can string a couple hundred ahead of time and use as needed)
- Shift signals - use 6" che-light lightstick
- Tracking light - attach infrared circle to vehicle for easy surveillance
- Room and building clearance - 6" chem-light or circles with adhesive backing
- Leader marker - use mini lightstick on back of helmet, color code each leader in the squad
- Reading or map light - visible mini chem-light lightstick
- Mine field - use circles (infrared or colored)to simulate mines during training exercises
- Chemical contamintion area - mark off with circles or lightsticks
- Protect perimeters - use triip flare with 5 minute ultra bright 6" chem-light lightstick
- Ambush training - use trip flare with 5 minute ultra bright 6" chem-light lightstick
- Weather instrument marker - affix circle to pieball/weather balloons
- Tank light - inside tank affix visible circle to inside roof.
Sea, Ship, Marine Operations
- Rescue light - attach PML with clipped to life vest - if thrown into water, squeeze handle and activate light for rescue signal.
- Diver down buoys - attach a circle with adhesive back or tie 6" lightstick
- Ship evacuation - use circles with adhesive back to mark escape routes
- Personnel markers - tie 6" chem-light lightstick to air tanks or dive belts or attach mini lightstick (visible or infrared) to divers
- Light for berthing areas - attach circle or hang 4" or 6" chem-light lightstick
- Boat markers - attach circle with adhesive back for easy visibility or use infrared
- Life raft markers - store infrared or visible 6" lightsticks for signaling in rescue situations
- UNREP - use various sized chem-light lightsticks for underway replenishment
- Damage control light - inside vessel use 15" Impact chem-light lightstick to access damage in an emergency situation
